Awaiting COVID test result

I am nearly 48hrs since I had my test and still no result. Most people I know had their results within 24hrs. Has anyone else been waiting a while for their result?

Three different tests came in +/- a few hours either side of 48 hours (taken on different days). I guess they would have all gone to the same lab which is why I think they were relatively consistent on timings.

Anybody heard yet? I'm on 61 hours. Two previous tests, DD and DH, were about 20 hours.

Still nothing here Sad, it was sent to the investigation team yesterday but I've resigned to fact I'll just have to finish isolation with out knowing if I ever had it!

Anyone heard anything yet? I'm day 8 and still nothing. Given up to be honest. Luckily managed to shift my work days around to avoid losing yet another weeks wage Sad

Frustrated I did finally this afternoon (negative). Almost 5 days for me - previous two tests (Heathrow) in my family both took 20 hours and this time I went to a different drive-in (Twickenham Stadium), but 8 days is awful. Have you the investigation team not got back to you yet? Hope you hear soon.

@marmitecake , nope nothing! I was under the impression that I wouldn't hear unless it was to give me the result, so I'm guessing it's just lost Sad. I'm not so bothered about finding out so I can escape the house- only a couple more days to go , I'd just like to know!!
