I have had symptoms now for about 5/6 days. These include literally not being able to move out of bed, total exhaustion, sleeping for 14 hours a day and more recently an annoying cough and sore throat.
My hubbie helped me do a test as I couldn’t do the throat bit (yuk) and at the time I remember saying to him I don’t think you swabbed for long enough. (Apologies for the boring bit of background)
So my results came in the post today and it was negative! I was shocked to be honest. I’m starting to feel much better and I really don’t want to get a test again at a test site as I know there are others that need them. I’m just curious to know if I had it or not.
So the question is is there anyone else out there who got a negative result whose convinced they had it. BTW the only reason I didn’t go to a test centre is that I literally was too weak to leave my bed!

How many days had you had symptoms when you tested? I've been told if you test too early it can be negative...but I have no idea what was meant by too early!

All other illnesses haven't gone away because of covid
People have always had those type of symptoms from bad colds or flu or other viruses.

That's not to say you haven't had a false negative, dont know how often that happens but I don't think it's shocking that you don't have covid
