Hi all
I have a running thread but thought I'd start a new one about this specific question..
So it looks like my test has potentially been lost - I'm on day 7. It's been sent to the investigation team (yesterday) and I was advised that it could take 3 days. If I don't hear anything then I just have to complete my isolation!
Obviously my boss and I are keen that I get back to work ASAP. My isolation would finish midnight Tuesday.
If I did another test today and it came back negative over the weekend, does that mean I can go back to work on Monday? I feel sure there's something in the rules stating that if you have a positive test result and then later test negative you still have to isolate for the original 10 days? Does anyone know? Obviously I don't know if my original test is positive, I just have to assume it could be
We're both keen to get me back in ASAP, but whilst I don't work with vulnerable people I do work in early years education with obviously no social distancing. I also don't want to run the risk of getting this wrong and myself (and possibly my boss!) getting fined for breaking the isolation rules
Symptoms wise - I've had a cough which is still there, but I'm also asthmatic so this could be the reason.
Has anyone been in this position and knows the answer?! I just want to get it right
Thanks
