I don't think so but can anyone confirm

I think any detergent will work against it. Plus you are wiping it away so even if its not killed you have physically removed it

DownWhichOfLate · 15/01/2021 08:27

Antibacterial is for bacteria not viruses.

BrokenLink · 15/01/2021 08:30

Apparently hot water and detergent kills it. So no actual need for antibacterial spray.

isitjustifyable · 15/01/2021 08:42

I no that is called antibacterial spray,l and it's a virus and not a bacteria. Just asking as my mum is using it convinced that it is killing the virus and I'm not sure it is.

It depends what she's doing with it. It's probably doing the job, though.

Lidl sell floor and surface wipes that are labelled as killing coronavirus. You could point her to that, as you are worried.

Thanks everyone

If she's wiping it away then does it matter? I'm sure lidl and aldi sell anti viral sprays too. I just use antibacterial spray. You can use soapy water as well as the detergent breaks down the cell wall.

Thefeep · 15/01/2021 08:59

Soapy water is all you need.

My DM buys these! They are quite cheap too. I buy their anti viral spray but I always have
isitjustifyable · 15/01/2021 08:59

No it probably doesn't matter at all. But for the sake of a spray I would be much happier to know she was using the right one.

Aldi are cheap and sell very similar products to Lidi. The difference being Lidl test their products on animals whereas Aldi is cruelty free. Just saying : )
