Home test - will I still be able to take it?

So on Wednesday I was a bit tired and assumed it was just from being busy at work. Through the night I was shivery and sweaty and by morning had headaches. Due to having a temperature, I've ordered a home test (not well enough to drive for one). However we've got loads of snow so it's not been delivered today. Tomorrow is forecast to be same/worse as due to freeze overnight.

If I don't get the test before 3, I can't send back until Monday, which is 5 days after the symptoms started. Can I still take it then?

There are post boxes that have special weekend pick ups specifically for tests. If you go to the royal mail website you can look for your nearest priority post box. There are lots of them all over the country. I was surprised to find 6 within 5 miles of me.

Oh, thanks. One of the Web pages I read said don't post on a Saturday or Sunday

I posted mine at 3pm last Saturday and got my results Sunday evening (negative).
