Quick question about support bubbles & isolating

I know that if the main household has to isolate, the person in the support bubble also has to isolate. Does this also count if the single adult hasn’t had any contact with any of the other household for a while? If so how long?

Am wondering whether to pause our support bubble with single grandparent, as cases in DH’s work are high. If DH got symptoms in the next few weeks it would be really good if the grandparent wasn’t at risk or a contact.

So, say if we last saw supported grandparent on Saturday morning, then DH came down with symptoms on Tuesday morning? Would grandparent have to isolate?

I believe it’s you have to isolate if you’ve been in contact someone confirmed Covid positive within 48 hours before they show symptoms, or if asymptomatic, the day of the test.

Hopefully someone will correct me if I’m wrong.
