Anyone tested positive twice

I had a positive test back in late November, symptoms were being lethargic, shakes and shivers, sinus and gum pain and later loss of smell.

Since Monday I have had aches, yesterday my gums and sinuses and I just feel really energy less.

Hoping I'm just run down, mentally and physically! Would you book in for other test?

I’m a nurse. Lots of people catch it more than once. Test.

Sorry pressed send too quick. When our nursing home was locked down one of our residents who’d had Covid tested positive for the second time (he’d originally tested positive in hospital). This was two months after a positive test with a negative in between. He was feeling lethargic at the time again. Public Health advised it was likely a reactivation of the original virus as no other staff or residents had symptoms or tested positive.

Fingers crossed for you that it's clear - keep us posted on the result.

HairyFloppins · 13/01/2021 19:56

I hope you haven't got it again OP.

Track and trace have told us not to test within 90 days as it could come back positive still.

Get well soon,

Should I ring 111 or the corona advice line?

I would try 111. It might be just a resurgence of symptoms rather than the actual virus again.

It's a funny old virus.

Interesting calls to 111, covid side said to act as if have it again and to self isolate. But they also said speak to a clinician, so said go for a test (which already have) and use the test as a basis of it have it again. They reiterated you can get it again!
