Hi, sorry for the late reply. I been good symptoms wise, my cough was bad yesterday and it improved overnight. My throat has improved too.

How have you been op?

bailey999 · 15/01/2021 17:22

I'm ok, I think all my kids have it, my youngest has a temp of 39 Sad I haven't got a temp or much of a cough but feel a bit breathless at times which I'm sure is being made worse by my anxiety. So far so good though, I have also managed to get my bs back under control. Have you lost your sense of smell? I haven't and I keep waiting for it to happen.

Notnowokay · 15/01/2021 20:25

My sense of smell and taste are still here. I’m telling myself I don’t need to experience all symptoms. This is helped by my bs doing the opposite of what it is supposed to be doing. I’m supposed to increase my insulin but I’m decreasing it.
I think my lack of appetite is the blame and ds3 is feeding more often. Is this a symptom for babies? I don’t know. Ds2 is also very needy and gets upset very easily. I think he might got it, but dh hasn’t agreed in testing them yet. I’m gonna wait for him to agree or for them to get the three official symptoms before taking them for a test.

The heating bill this month is going to be astronomical. We are all wearing extra layers with the windows open most of the time.

bailey999 · 15/01/2021 21:35

Haha, yes we have all the windows open too. Unfortunately I think my DH might be coming down with it, he has a slight temp and a headache (which is how I started). Nothing we can do now except hope for the best Sad

@bailey999 Oh, no. I’m sorry to hear that. I sincerely hope that all of you recover from it ASAP. It sounds very upsetting and frightening.

StarNights · 16/01/2021 15:12

Can I jump in and ask please if anyone knows of vit D causing constipation?

I started taking a standard dose a few months ago but had to stop after 2 weeks as I got terrible constipation!

I'd like to re-start and wondering if there's a version which doesn't have this adverse effect!

BumbleBiscuit · 16/01/2021 15:32

It baffles me that anyone is T2 these days when it’s been proven time and time again to be fully reversible with the right diet.

Perhaps look into this OP, loads of resources out there. Diabetes isn’t a life long condition.

bailey999 · 16/01/2021 16:09

I am fully aware of that! I have in fact successfully managed to drop by hba1c to completely normal levels through low carb. However covid has led to my blood sugars increasing dramatically despite me eating in the same low carb way. Thankfully they are now back under control.

I'm 10 days after testing positive. I have t been able to get any vitamins as yet. would a general multivitamin do or are you better taking them individually. also anything to help with return of taste? I think I read zinc?

MrsWildermac · 16/01/2021 22:29

@BumbleBiscuit - the SYMPTOMS are reversible but it doesn't remove the propensity to the disease. My DH can bring his blood sugars down and keep them down through diet but if he wanted to eat carbs for breakfast, lunch and dinner, he would soon find himself back having high blood sugars again.

Notnowokay · 17/01/2021 08:22

@BumbleBiscuit, it is not only food that raise blood sugar. Illness and stress raise them to on average. They haven’t raised my sugar this time around, but I’m assuming it is related to me breastfeeding and not eating much. Covid has reduced my appetite, actually eating food is giving me stomach cramps. There is no need to judge people over things they can’t control.

@crazycatlady20, I personally take vitamin D and postnatal vitamins. I don’t want to experiment with more things as what I eat effects ds3 to. Otherwise, I would have tried so many different things. But to stop myself from getting to much temptation I stopped reading about supplements.

MrsWildermac · 20/01/2021 23:35

How are you doing now @bailey999?

Notnowokay · 21/01/2021 17:52

Hope you and your family are well op

Iamnotaosureaboutthis123 · 21/01/2021 23:53

Hope you’re ok op x
