Volunteering

Sorry if I'm being thick here but can someone more knowledgable point me in the right direction please. I would like to volunteer at vaccination hub to do stuff like car parking, admin, or helping folks get to where they should be. I have Googled, obviously, but can only find sites where you can be trained to vaccinate ,need to be on hand to help if someone has a medical emergency and I don't feel able to do that, even though they provide training.

Our regional nhs site only advertises for people to do shopping or collect prescriptions, which I already do.

Any sugestions welcome. Thanks.

Spookily I have just been accepted for exactly that! Google good Sam / royal volunteer workforce and it’ll come up. They do lots of volunteer things but choose the Covid Marshall option

I also think St. John’s ambulance are recruiting but I haven’t tried that

The nhs website would be your best bet.

If any of you did volunteer, how has it been going? I just started a separate thread about volunteering having done quite a bit of vaccination stewarding. Some has gone well, some has gone... less well!

Write to your local vaccination centre directly? Mine’s desperate for people and keeps posting on social media about it.
