I’m trying to think what “new” restrictions they’re talking about that could be brought in tomorrow?

We can’t see anyone, we can’t do anything, we can’t go anywhere.

What exactly is there left to crack down on? What secret activities are there going on that I’m currently unaware of that are causing such a huge rise in infection and death rates in 100s of people?

@Excited101

I’m not an essential worker but have (legally) been going into work for the whole time. There’s more of that going on than people think.
Are you in retail?

@ssd

I could be wrong

No you are not wrong. The drive through is open. But we are being told we cannot leave home except for essential reasons, and if we leave for essential reasons we cannot stay out and do non essential things after doing essential thing. I'm wondering why, the DT is open when under the rules of not leaving home but for essential reasons, we should not actually go to it

reprehensibleme · 13/01/2021 13:38

Still banging on about 80% of care home residents vaccinated - don't think that number has moved for several days. 92yo mum has heard nothing about vaccination appt.

Good and drink is essential though so.....

Personally I feel if getting a takeaway coffee when youre out another walk (in the rain) keeps you going, then it's fine by me

Good and drink is essential though so.....

Is that the line?

If I leave my house to get a coffee that's acceptable as it's essential?

There are more holes in this than my sieve

Charlie, you can pick holes in everything right now, we all gave to follow the guidelines as best we can. Theres no point you questioning people here, we are all just muddling through as best we can.

I'm working in a supermarket just now. We have older frail people coming in about 3 times a week, shuffling around with a wee pushy trolley on wheels. I'm guessing they are most probably vulnerable to covid. They shouldn't be coming into the shop as often. But maybe getting out the house is the only highlight in their week, maybe a mum out pushing a pram getting a Costa once a week is her highlight. As long as we social distance as much as possible, wear masks, wash hands etc, be sensible, people gave gift to be allowed to live. There will be things you're doing that would appal others who dont do them.

We need to be kind to each other through this.

Sorry Charlie, I do not mean to be snippy, please dont go .
