my daughter came to stay for xmas ( I live alone) she came beginning of dec and stayed until 3rd Jan. she returned to scotland and 2 days later developed symptoms and tested positive. NHS scotland test and trace have now said that even though I was a contact in the incubation period They cannot contact text anyone across the border. I am isolating anyway to be safe and fortunately my work have been ok with this. but many workplaces will not allow this to happen unless people have official contact from test and trace. So potentially I could legally go about my business and not isolate.
