Should I delete this POS covid app?

Granted my phone is old and crap but ever since I got the covid app it freezes loads and a few times has had massive battery drain including once when I was at work and only just made it home (ticket on phone).

I've kept it on hoping that it would be useful re stopping the spread of covid. But actually it hasn't been. I went to the hairdresser on NYE (permitted at the time - we were tier two) and eight days later got a text from the salon owner asking if I'd had a notification through the app that one of her staff got a positive test after starting symptoms on the Saturday.

Well, no, I fucking didn't and had been at work, using public transport, going to the supermarket etc. But I should have been isolating. I got myself a test and yep I'm positive, confirmed yesterday. Obviously isolating now, have informed work etc but still the app itself hasn't told me fuck all. I've scanned qr codes everywhere I've gone, not broken any rules, but this POS app is doing bugger all other than fucking my phone up.

I've now input that I've got a positive test so it's got the information it needs and I'm tempted to just get rid of the bloody thing.

Thoughts?
