Vulnerable Children and Vaccines

I know they are not officially licensed but I keep seeing odd paperwork that suggests vulnerable children might be able to be vaccinated with discussion from a medical professional.

Has anyone tried this? Has anyone got permission from their GP? I'm wondering if it's worth attempting

Over 16 CEV and CV will get the vaccine when their turn comes

If your DC is younger, then yes worth talking to their consultant/GP might be worth it (especially for DC close to the cut off age) to see if there is any discretion. Pfizer are testing theirs on 12+ yos, so the age for CEV/CV might change

As they are still working through priorities 1 and 2, and CEV are 4 and CV are 6, you've got plenty of time to explore this.

I called the GP. They're going to call me back. At least it wasn't a no straight off the back!

Our GP was very clear that it could only be considered for under 16s living in residential placements not any child living in a family.
