Test at same time, different times for getting back results?

Me again. Me and DD had Covid tests yesterday at 2:30pm, mine came back today negative at 5pm but heard nothing about DDs yet.

Just wondered what others experience was of having a test at same time from same family but getting results at different times?

I haven’t experienced this personally but have heard of this lots. I’m sure result will be here soon!

A while ago DS was tested on a Sunday pm, this was September and his result didn’t come through til Wednesday. Yet someone I know tested the next day (the Monday) at the exact test site and their results were back less than 24 hrs later on the Tuesday. Seems to be no consistency or order in it.

Thanks! You are right, seems to be no consistency in it. We had tests in September (when was harder to get an appointment) at 12pm Tuesday and DDs were back at 9am next day and mine at 12pm so pretty much both within 24 hours!

I imagine they get chucked around a bit so mixed up. 3 of us got our done all together. Ds and dh at 6am, mine didnt appear untill 2pm

Ah so quite a difference...I'm sure they do. I will wait and try to stop obsessively checking my phone 😬🤣

My DH got his negative result last Thursday at 6am and I got my positive result at 6.30pm same day.

I was tested this week at exact same time and place and place as dds friend - we got results within minutes of each other

Ds got his negative at 9 am - I got mine 11.30 am. They had actually at the time said they were prioritising kids.
