DH came home from work on Monday with some sniffles. Tuesday morning felt a bit rough also with a cough but worked from home. Weds felt worse with a cough, sneezing, slight tightness in chest but no temperature. No improvement since.

I have had a sore throat since yesterday, no other symptoms.

We both sent our tests off yesterday and had the results emailed to us. His came back negative around 10pm and mine came back positive around 11pm.

Just slightly confused by it. We will both continue to self isolate regardless.

I did wonder whether to bother isolating from DP but figured it was best to try and decrease my chances of catching it- we'll see

I completely isolated from DH. I masked and gloved up whenever I went into 'the sick room' which was ventilated at all times. Windows were kept open in that room, as well as the kids' bedrooms and every couple of hours, I'd open the front and back doors downstairs (DH did not leave the bedroom and used a separate bathroom). I would also go outside and take in deep breaths for a few minutes every time I had to go into the bedroom to look after him. I also kept a eucalyptus vaporiser steaming throughout the house, dosed the kids and I up on zinc and vitamin D and did Olbas steams in the bathroom sink for all of us (apart from DH who went from bad to worse to terrible all too quickly and couldn't even get to the bathroom in the end). I rubbed vaporub on the soles of my feet, my chest, the kids as well. Totally and utterly paranoid.
But I have good reason. DH was deathly ill. I can't even begin to describe how traumatic it was to watch him slide into this virus's grip here at home. He's now in hospital fighting for his life for a week and counting. It's been worse than awful.
