Lost taste

If anyone's symptoms started with muted ability to taste and you had covid how bad did it get? Just ordered a test and I'm scared.

I’ve tested positive about a hour ago. My only obvious symptom is a sore throat. I made some chicken and rice last night which was very spicy but today it tasted much milder so I suspect my tastebuds have also been effected. I only took a test because I suspected my DH had the virus as he’s been poorly since Monday.

I've eaten hot chilli sauce tonight and could barely taste it. My sense of smell is fine. @ims0rrydarlingg I hope you and your husband feel better soon.
