Asking for a friend

Royal Mail helpline is now closed!
Does anyone know what happens if you accidentally post the testing kit in a non priority postbox? Will you still receive results? My friend has accidentally done this and stupidly didn’t take a photo of the tracking on the box! She didn’t realise until days later! It’s been 5 days now and still no results so we are guessing they’ve been lost?

Hi, she did do that but they said they’re not sure and only chase it once the 5 days is over

Did she register it? I would think it needs to go in Priority only so it gets there quickly. If she registered it I’m sure she’ll get her results- maybe just a bit slower. For the record, I did a home test and posted in a priority box and got my results on the night of the 6th day x
