Well, actually, no, it wasn't really a joke. I don't want to derail what was meant to be a lighthearted thread, but graphics in health promotion information are actually important.
@atswim2birds is right that people don't articulate or even acknowledge a response, but there can be a subliminal effect.
Given the huge variation in likely uptake of the vaccine (public health research found 57% of respondents from BAME backgrounds likely to accept a COVID-19 vaccine, compared to 79% of White respondents) healthcare communication shouldn't risk excluding anyone.
I used to work in public health information for patients, which is probably why I reacted to this particular image in the first place.
Our design department used to have a checklist to try to ensure age/ ethnic/disability groups were represented as widely as possible.
