[NB - Lighthearted . . .]

Is it just me, or did anyone else find this visual on the BBC website a bit weird?

Social distancing disaaaahster darling. One person is actually treading on another persons foot they are so close.Though I am impressed with the queue discipline, no barriers , no barging (apart from the foot treader).

I hope there are at least 20 vaccinators beyond the door, otherwise, allowing a minimum of ten minutes for paperwork and sleeve rolling up the poor beggars at the end are in for a long wait.

OnlyTeaForMe · 08/01/2021 12:50

Indeed . . . I'd hazard a guess that everyone in that queue has a BMI of 25 or less.

Making a note to wear a skirt when I go, just for this illustrator Grin

BeyondThunderdome · 08/01/2021 12:54

Is nobody’s else concerned by the lack of eyes though? No wonder they can’t distance properly

Covidiotmil · 08/01/2021 12:56

@Cornettoninja

I'm worried they've let a Frenchman into the 16-64 group! #ShutTheBorders

Anyone else spotted the two people with their mask hanging from their ears at the bottom! Shock

onemassivegeek · 08/01/2021 13:02

Yeah, looks a bit mean to me.

The obese are long gone...

LaMarschallin · 08/01/2021 13:04

TheSultanofPingu

Maybe the artist isn't very good at drawing legs.

Not sure...

I think they'd all be wearing long skirts if he couldn't do legs, like all my drawings of people used to show them wearing mittens or standing with their arms behind their backs because I couldn't do hands.

PS Love your name, btw Smile

Are they having a couple of weeks off between mid-Feb and end-Feb?

It’s really helped me chose my outfit for when I do get the vaccine. Yellow trousers and blue top it is. I’d been wondering what to wear as obviously it will be the first exciting event of 2020.

OnlyTeaForMe · 08/01/2021 13:09

Obviously forecasting a heatwave for Feb too - all those T shirts!

I don’t know which to start on first; dyeing my hair, finding the right clothes, losing half a person of weight, or fixing my disability so I can walk. Oh, or gouging out my eyes 😄
Daisy829 · 08/01/2021 13:12

You mean we have to get out of our pjs to attend? That’s a disappointment

Brownfrown · 08/01/2021 13:15

Around 80% of disability is invisible. Personally I think endless people in wheelchairs to denote disability to denote inclusion serves to emphasis the fact that disability should be seen. Maybe some of these people have Lupus, Elhers Danlos or a colostomy bag hidden under their jeans. Plus lots of people aren’t actually wheelchair dependant, maybe they drove and it wasn’t a long walk so left mobility aids in the car.

Magpiecomplex · 08/01/2021 13:15

Only if your PJ's aren't yellow and blue.

Daisy829 · 08/01/2021 13:17

No they aren’t. What a shame. I draw the line about putting a bra on though. Much comfier without!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 08/01/2021 13:18

Did you notice that they don't show you the queue of people leaving? Because THE ONES WHO LEAVE AREN'T PEOPLE ANY MORE 😱

SOYLENT GREEN!

THEY ARE BEING MADE INTO SOYLENT GREEN!!!

(I blame Brexit)

SchadenfreudePersonified · 08/01/2021 13:22

I wondered that.

I think they are taking a deep breath before they wrestle with all the feisty ole trouts (my category is the next one, and I'll want some answers to questions).

(eg Why have I had to walk in a snake, non-socially distanced line to get this jab and why have some ejects stopped dead in the middle of the line, holding the queue up?)

An awful lot of them only have one leg. I always thought we did pretty well on hip replacements in the UK but now I am a bit concerned that some hospitals may have been pursuing an alternative solution.

To be fair the monopedals in the illustration seem to be coping well and keeping up with the bipedals.

Is he just a Frenchman when it suits him, perhaps? Hmm
