What time did you have the vaccine? I’m no expert but I think most symptoms take longer to develop. Maybe you are feeling unwell for a different reason and it’s just coincided with the vaccine

Vivana · 07/01/2021 15:36

That's true was 9am I had it done. I don't have covid as had test yesterday and negative result today. Probably just something else.

Yes, normal. The second one may be even worse. The advice is to take paracetamol for the first 24-48 hours.

Vivana · 08/01/2021 00:02

Thankyou have taken paracetamol now and will try and sleep

My dad has his at 10am and was feeling pretty rough by late afternoon. It lasted a few days but he's 89 and not well anyway so it was an ordeal for him really. Totally worth it though.

I hope you feel better soon. I'm sure you will.

Hope you’re ok. I had mine yesterday and apart from a sore arm I feel fine. They did warn me that a bad headache was a very common side effect though

QueenOfTheDoubleWide · 08/01/2021 00:08

I work in the NHS so I and lots of colleagues had it last week. Generally our side effects were a slightly tender arm, no redness or heat, just a bruised feeling and a couple had rather vague headaches the next day, although stats showed sore arm and headache were almost as prevalent in the control group as in the vaccine group in trials. Other than that nothing

ProudAuntie76 · 08/01/2021 00:13

Felt fine when it was done. Headache the next day and arm got a bit sore, tired compared to usual. Today feel really rubbish headache, arm sore bumpy and red, feel lethargic and swollen glands etc. Tested negative for Covid (via weekly testing working in a Nursing Home). Feel like I’ve got a mild flu, no fever. Colleagues who had it are fine. I reacted similarly to the Prevnar jab and had a dodgy flu jab reaction two years ago (only time in about 15 years). Big shift at work tomorrow so planning on dosing up with paracetamol or ibuprofen and taking an anti histamine for the firey rash at the injection site which was the advice for the dodgy flu jab reaction.

For 4 days after injection I felt achy all over and had bad nausea.

ExpulsoCorona · 08/01/2021 00:17

2 hours after I had it done I got a fever (37.9), headache, muscle pains, nausea and generally felt odd. The next day the fever went and I was left with a sore arm. The sore arm lasted a couple of days and then I felt totally better.

I’ve had both doses of the Pfizer vaccine (nhs worker), first one I had a headache for a day and sore arm but nothing major. After the the second one I felt a bit rough for about 4-5 days with a headache, tiredness and same sore arm. Side effects are explained and my colleagues experienced similar symptoms, nothing horrendous though and certainly nothing as bad as Covid!
