Left tonsil pain ? Covid ?

That's all I have. Very specific side too. Usually it just hurts to swallow but this time I can very much identify which side. Hard to say if it's COVID right ? I feel fine otherwise.

Of course you can’t say it’s covid. It could literally be anything! You can’t assume everything is covid. We can’t go anywhere anyway so just rest up & see how you feel in the next couple days!

Tonsillitis, strep throat, general sore throats are still around.....not just covid...

I w just got over a bug which lasted about 5 days - was a very specific right tonsil pain that gradually moved into my ear before disappearing altogether. If you don't have any of the main symptoms of Covid, I would assume strep throat or a throat/ear infection before thinking of Covid

@Minerva00 it sounds really similar !! Yes it moves to my ear too and it's very localised in my tonsil on the left and moves to my left ear. I've looked inside very deeply and can see a bit of mucus or puss. Just a bit, very deep down. You're all right about everything else being around at the moment too. So it's probably not COVID. Hopefully.

Why would it be covid?
If you had this symptom a year ago what would you have assumed it was? Its probably that.

Of you mucus or pus it could be a quinsy or tonsillitis.

@KitKatastrophe I would never have thought even twice about it last year lol. I would have popped a couple of paracetamol and got on with my life. I miss those days. I have terrible health anxiety, so any small symptom freaks me out. I also saw quite a few posts on here recently where someone describes symptoms, not COVID like at all and lots of others posted saying they also had those symptoms and it was covid. So I was just putting my feelers out.

I also know someone who had literally every COVID symptom going and has had several tests and it just doesn't seem to be COVID ! weird right !

Hi everyone. It went away after 24 -48 hours. It was also only very slight pain. Since yesterday it's re-emerged.. it was slight at first but by the evening I took paracetamol and by this morning it's really quite sore when I swallow. Still only on one side. I don't think it's covid, but could be tonsillitis but the doctor is rubbish and has ' no appointments '. Any advice ? Could I need antibiotics ? Is it behaving more like a viral tonsillitis or bacterial ?

I can see a white spot right on the inside.
