I think I need to get a grip. I knew this was coming given our sh** show of a government opening up in November and letting some people mix at Xmas, let alone people not following the guidance. However, it's day 4 of home schooling my reception child with a toddler in towe and I have cried each day? The thought of this until April/even later is just so sad. And don't get me started on people claiming key worker places at schools when only one parents is a KW and they wfh!

The government has said that school places should go to families with one key worker and it makes no difference if they WFH or not. YABU.

Crying is a valid way to deal with emotions- it helps some people. I’m a crier, not everyone is. So far no tears yet here as nursery is open, although I don’t want to use it but have no choice. It’s tough times for sure.

I am NOT a cried and I cried last night. Feel so bad for my 7 year old son. I'm having to work from home. They dont start "school" till next week and none of it is actually done remotely it's just sheets on the website. The rest of us have phones to converse with family and friends etc but he often takes himself off to his room alone whilst im wworking and has said he sometimes feels like he wants to cry for no reason but doesnt know why. I think he is feeling lonely and missing his friends and school and is just breaks my heart he is such a sociable kid. My 16 year old is going to take him a walk up the woods later.

It is hard and it is acceptable to cry it is better to get it out. We all have our own challenges through this so if you need a cry do it. Its okay to feel angry too.
