Just after advice really. As when it comes to knowing what laptops/tablets are capable of regarding schooling I'm clueless.

I thought might be prepared as DD (Y9) has coped with her online work via mobile device including live lessons.

During first lockdown two other children (Primary) were just set work to complete without live lessons.

This time round they've introduced Live Lessons which is great. However today has not gone well. Trying to complete Google Slides, Classroom and Meet on one device at same time each has been impossible.

I decided it's best to invest in a laptop/tablet with keyboard for ease of use, but haven't a clue where to start on what will be able to manage everything needed.

We haven't got a massive budget and looking on Argos only available in stock are £600+ Shock

I'd be grateful for any advice on what you may have bought and been successful.

I need wine to even think of tomorrow Wine

Thanks in advance Smile

Just last week we paid £229 at Argos for a Lenovo Chromebook and it does what we need. I have seen today all the platforms needed for school can be accessed on playstation and xbox if you have one? Will try and find the instructions

DS Is in key worker care, was only in Monday and an hour and a half today and his bubble has burst Sad he's got to isolate/ home school until the end of next week. We haven't got a laptop either, however, I did log on to Google classroom via the web browser on xbox earlier and he's doing it through that, supervised though, so he doesn't sneak on to any games Wink

I buy laptops for low income individuals for our local council. We buy refurbished laptops from laptops direct, normally pay 140 - 160. They are not new, but they all work! We've had no complaints about them or had people coming back for replacements.

So getting a couple would be within your budget!
