I was going to post this in secondary education but it doesn’t seem to get much traffic. Is it ok for a head to invite in 150 more students as they didn’t engage with work during the last lockdown? I thought the whole point was having as few students in as possible.

If they can be accommodated safely, yes. Children who are not able to engage with learning at home (for many reasons) are one of the groups that are being offered places, where possible.
