Hi, just checking that in Scotland I'd be allowed to stay in a hotel to attend a funeral? Not the moral implications just is it actually allowed. I can see I'm allowed to travel but not sure about the hotel.

Yes it’s specially listed as a reason for staying in holiday accommodation. Although your biggest challenge might be finding somewhere that’s open! www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance/

Yes. DH will be working in Scotland next week so we had to read the rules to see what would be available.

The big chains are probably your best bet.

If you’re struggling to find somewhere hop over to the Scotsnet forum and ask if anyone knows what’s open in the area you need! Sorry for loss, hope you have an uneventful journey x

Thanks all, it looks like I'll get in at a premier inn. DS is staying with my mum so I can get up and down more quickly and without stops.
