Part furlough?

I just wondered if anyone has been part furloughed? Is this an option?

I'm a single parent and I'm able to access the keyworker childcare through school. For some of the week I have no wraparound care due to the restrictions now in place. I'd prefer not to be furloughed completely if I can help it and have no dependant's leave/annual leave left.

Cam anyone shed any light before I speak to my boss tomorrow?

My partner has taken flexi-furlough to fit around my hours, he has dropped 10 hours a week in total so one of us can always be at home but will still be paid via furlough for 80% of his lost income so has really only lost 2 hours a week

I am full furlough now until 22/01 however, from July to October last year I was flexi furlough. My usual hours are 28 per week. I worked 18 and was furloughed the other 10.

Yep, I am currently part-furloughed to 50% of my hours.

Were your workplace quite open to the idea? We are under an immense amount of pressure due to the pandemic - we have seen a huge increase in workload and we are a small team so even being one man down makes a big difference.

Things haven't been great for me at work as it is, but other than taking full furlough or isolating/testing and sending my son to live elsewhere for the forseeable I really don't have a choice.

My manager is generally very understanding but I don't want to make things worse for myself.
