Is this usual... ds primary wants to do lessons on and off the computer all day live lessons. She is only 6 so would require me to log her in and out plus then surely for safeguarding I should the be present.. how do I work at the same time?
Shouldn’t we have a mixture of online and sheets to do at home? Just wondering what others had? Thanks!
Ps I know others may want this but for our family and lack of space and it equipment also I can’t see this working?

We have full online timetable. It should help in that once you've logged them on the teacher takes over and you can work.

In theory Confused

We just have lots of worksheets here. Allllll the worksheets! It has been very well organised though, and lots of work so I am happy.

For every parent that wants sheets there is a person that wants it all online. There is no way for teachers to win.

Well our primary has provided nothing, they didn't open yesterday due to teacher shortages and today we have absolutely no information from them at all. By no info I mine no email saying they're closed, no keywork info, no school work absolutely nothing. So I rang just now but there was no answer so I've left a message and emailed so we shall see what happens tomorrow. I can't say I'm surprised it was the same last lockdown.

Why do you need to be present for safeguarding? You're not present in school.

Cantspeakpublic · 05/01/2021 16:16

Oh just the online aspect- the kids are streaming into others homes. Unless I just get her to turn the camera off..
I agree it’s a mixture of what works for people I just wondered what others were doing. We will ask if we can attend what works at home and not the other sessions I think as we simply can’t and I’m not going to get stressed at home not at her age!

Can't the teacher provide the safeguarding element?
