Can we make it safe for us/our cleaner?

Really want her to keep coming as have a toddler and newborn atm so could do with the help, but want to make sure we are all safe. Is there a way of doing this - eg she wears mask, we go out when she’s here? Or if someone has covid and then spends 3 hours in your house are you pretty much guaranteed to get it? None of us are vulnerable but I don’t fancy looking after the kids while ill if I can avoid it.

My cleaner is still coming. She comes when we are out. I leave for work at 8 and I open windows before I go (big dogs, no one in their right mind would climb in) she arrives at 9 (has a key) & when she leaves also leaves windows open. I'm not sure really how safe it is but it's working for us as so far.

Go out, open all windows whilst she's there, she wears a mask and you dont come home for half an hour after she's gone. That's pretty safe.

Cleaner here... Guidelines say wear a mask. Bin anything you have used at that job - assume blue roll /disposable gloves.. Wash cleaning product bottles - assume with antibac.. Social distance. No face to face chat or handing over payments..

We have a bedroom she doesn't clean + we stay in there throughout with the door shut. All doors propped open, all windows + back door open. Wait for 15mins after she leaves. No f2f chat. We wipe all contact points down when she leaves and 'quarantine' (could also wipe down) cleaning products etc for 24 hours after she leaves. Pay via bank transfer.

My cleaner has been wearing a mask and gloves since she returned last summer. We never stay in the same room as her we and leave the house when she is here whenever possible.

Thank you! This makes me feel better. Might be hard realistically getting out for 3hrs plus with baby and toddler atm but we could probably confine ourselves to the spare bedroom. I’ll talk it through with her and see what she thinks.
