Now that secondary schools are closed and us working from home, we are thinking of getting an extra desk from IKEA click and collect. Do you know if we are allowed?

Do you mean it it allowed for you to make the journey?

Creamegg11 · 05/01/2021 09:08

Yes, drive to ikea which is 20mins away and collect the desk via click and collect.

If IKEA are doing that, then yes go and get it.

I'm sure they said that click and collect isn't allowed this time around, but I'm not 100% sure.

Sparklingbrook · 05/01/2021 09:51

I was going off to pick up my already paid for stuff from Argos ten minutes away in a bit. Last lockdown they were standing at the door, you gave them the code and someone went to get it.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 05/01/2021 09:53

I think click and collect is allowed.

itsgettingweird · 05/01/2021 09:54

Just started a thread myself asking if click and collect open still.

I ordered something 1.5 weeks ago and can't find anywhere if I can still collect it or not!

rosie1959 · 05/01/2021 09:55

IKEA are still doing click and collect all details on website

AlecTrevelyan006 · 05/01/2021 10:07

Click and collect is definitely allowed

ivfbeenbusy · 05/01/2021 10:10

Agree the rules state click and collect is still
Allowed BUT IKEA are rubbish for click and collect - never have anything you want/need. Also when I was browsing the app last night it said most of the desks are out of stock due to demand

Creamegg11 · 05/01/2021 10:13

Thanks for your replies. I just wasn’t sure if collect and collect was just limited to food and DIY shops and I didn’t want to risk a fine for leaving home. I suppose if it wasn’t allowed then these retailers wouldn’t be offering the click and collect service. I did check their website but wasn’t sure if it’s been updated since lockdown came into force today.

Click and collect fine. They’re ok to offer the service, you’re ok to go.
