Garages staying open?

I got a puncture today and changed to my spare. It's only a space saver one so I need to get a new tyre tomorrow, do you think tyre places or garages would be considered essential to stay open?

I'd have thought so.

They were open during the first lockdown last March I think?

Yes, I needed to get a tyre replaced today and they were open all the way from the March lockdown. Tyres are pretty essential.
