It's not clear - can you walk with one person from another household or only walk with people from your own household ?

You can either walk with someone from your household or one other person rom another household I think.

Crackinglife · 04/01/2021 20:34

When you say one other person ? Could you say take your child she's 3 for a walk with one other from a different household? So would be me my kid and another adult ?

Weddings during lock down included children as guests, so I assume not

slashlover · 04/01/2021 20:40

The English lockdown includes children, they are not counted in Scotland.

Crackinglife · 04/01/2021 20:42

So I can't go for a walk with someone in another household, with my child ? Sorry if that sounds thick I wanna know what's what and not break the rules

@Crackinglife the previous Tier 4/November lockdown restrictions stated that children under 5 didn’t count when meeting one other person, but this has been taken out of the updated guidelines on the gov.uk website, and now just says 1 other person. I’m not sure if this is an oversight or an intentional change in the rules, but at the moment, no, you wouldn’t be able to meet another person if you also had a pre-schooler with you

ItsNotGreenItsBlue · 04/01/2021 20:45

@Crackinglife no you c any go for a walk with another person if you’ve got your child with you and live in England.

ItsNotGreenItsBlue · 04/01/2021 20:45

*cant

FatGirlShrinking · 04/01/2021 20:50

No you can't. It's right there in the guidance it very specifically says you have to be on your own to meet someone from another household.

Read the guidelines. They are very clear. No

Crackinglife · 04/01/2021 21:08

Didn't realise there was anything up yet ! I just asked as it wasn't clear on the announcement

Crackinglife. It’s not clear at the moment as they didn’t count in the November lockdown I think they will update it in the actual legislation. But I would apply a little bit of common sense to this. I have a 5month old she will be coming with me for walks in her baby carrier when we meet with someone else. This is about reducing transmission and her being there attached to me or in her pram does not increase transmission risk

I don't get some of the rules either. They seem open to interpretation.

Does this mean if I'm on my own as in living alone I can meet another person or if I'm walking alone I can walk with another person? And does that person have to come from my household?

I'm actually thinking of my 17yr old who wants to meet up with his GF for walks. Up until now they've met up whilst walking but we think things have changed but it's not that clear.

Nadine Dorries tweeted that children under 5 don't count - I saw Pregnant Then Screwed post it earlier today.
