I am a cancer specialist nurse and was redeployed in the first wave. The number of positive patients in our hospital has rocketed in the last week, normal activity is being cancelled and we’re about to be redeployed again. I feel sick and have done since last week. I thought I’d coped okay in the first wave but the way I feel now shows that I clearly didn’t. Are other Trusts redeploying CNS’s? How are you all coping? I think part of it is that we are all exhausted. Trying to provide care for our patients when treatment is restricted really takes its toll and we’ve only just about got back in control after wave 1. I’ve no idea how we’re going to get through all this again................
