Change in smell

(NC for this.)

Loss of or change to sense of smell is a testable symptom.

My taste is fine and I can smell everything as I would normally. But since yesterday afternoon there is an underlying smell of something (petrol maybe).

Is this classed as loss or change to smell? Have you had similar and if so did you test positive?

My smell changed, seemingly for good. I was positive in March and still have a faint metallic oniony smell to most things.

I think that does sound like a change in sense of smell, yes.. I think you should isolate and get a test, sorry.

Yes, I think you're right. I'll book one.

What have people done in terms of isolating? To what extent do you isolate from people in your household? It's me, my partner and our 6 month old baby. She's breastfed so I need to be with her, but do we need to stay away from partner? That'll be awful...
