Throat clearing?

Is a throat clearing cough classes as something you should be tested for?
It's like a hmm hmm hmm type thing until your throat feels clear 🤦🏻‍♀️

Absolutely. This is exactly what dh had. He was positive, much to our shock.

He kept saying I'm not coughing ,just clearing my throat. Which he was doing.

DD had/has this, developed on Dec 23rd - got tested on Christmas Eve but came back negative so just a normal cold/cough.

Not necessarily. As a London cyclist I constantly have to do this.

Not necessarily, but could be. I tested because I had a temp, but I did need to cough to clear my throat a lot too. Could just be coincidental.

Yes, that was the only sort of cough I had too when I tested positive.

My first symtom too. Headaches days later.

Yes. This is all the cough i had. My friend has just tested positive with the same. Bit of a cold and very occasional throat cleaning type cough. Both of us first symptom was headache. Took four days to lose taste and smell. Both of us, and my dh, had no temperature.

Oh geez now I'm worried 😫 Been throat clearing for a couple of days now but have no other symptoms.
Have ordered a test tonight.

Are you asthmatic? Often this will happen if you are in contact with an allergin at a low dose.
