Being forced to have a test

I am currently doing a college course 1 day a week which we only have to attend for 2 and a half hours. The college can do online learning for those who cannot come in when ill.

The college has sent an email out saying all students must be tested. Now I don't want to be tested and have my own personal reasons for not doing so and have very bad anxiety. I personally would rather just stay at home and online learn. How can they force you to take a test? I thought it was just if you had symptoms.

I don't want people having a go at me here saying take the test. Is it best to just tell them I will stay at home and learn online? If I knew this was going to happen I would have just had a year out.

Can you contact them and say you can't take the test? You shouldn't have to give a reason why, as that is your personal medical information. I would think they would offer you the accommodation of online learning since it is available anyway.

Hope it all works out without causing you any further stress.
