'Gastric' Covid?

I've been ill now for 6 weeks.
In the beginning I had terrible diarrhoea, nausea and fatigue. I ended up in hospital on a drip and felt terrible.
I've seen the dr on and off since it all started. All tests negative...but they didn't do one for Covid. They said I didn't have the 'symptoms' so wouldn't test.
6 weeks on and the diarrhoea is better (as long as I watch what I'm eating) but still nauseous and exhausted....and generally feeling crap!
A few of my friends that work in the NHS are sure I've had Covid but no one around me has had it 🤷🏻‍♀️
Has anyone had the same symptoms with a positive result?

Could you do a private anti body test?

HelenStewart77 · 03/01/2021 18:23

The dr said that they are not reliable at all. Didn't know you could do them privately

If you had it you will get a positive result for up to 90 days after you contracted it as it stays in your system even though not infectious anymore, you could get a test now and see? I have known a few people get those symptoms with it but only lasting a couple of days so it doesn’t seem likely it’s that making you poorly to me though....
