This is not a dry cough

I am on day 4 of symptoms. I have tested positive.

Yesterday and today, I have had a few episodes of coughing really hard to get some gunk up. I thought Covid was supposed to be a dry cough. Once I’ve got the gunk up, I’m breathing normally and my sats are fine.

Anyone else had a productive cough? How did it develop?

My cough v productive but I have a lot of snot too so guess it is bringing that up. I have asthma though so usually have a mild productive cough at any one time

My voice has gone very hoarse too. I'm a bit snotty as well.... if it weren't for the test, I'd have said I had a cold.

DH's symptoms started a few days before mine, and initially looked like a cold, i.e. sneezing/runny nose before the cough started.

It's a bugger, isn't it, being so variable? You don't know what to expect.
