Off the back of another thread.
Looking like primary schools will either close soon or not reopen at all so I'm considering my options. I'm divorced and my ex has DS usually on his days off work. Ex is a key worker. I am not a key worker but I cannot work from home in my role. I was furloughed last school closure so it wasn't an issue but we are now very busy at work so this might not be an option this time.
Is it correct that as a key worker my ex could request a school place for DS on his contact days if he is at work? Does anyone have experience of this? I'm thinking of asking him to up his contact to 3 weekdays a week if possible so that I am able to go into work at least 3 days a week to try and keep afloat. Ex usually has some weekdays off anyway as he works a lot of weekends in his job so DS wouldn't need to be at school all the time. I really don't know what I'll do otherwise if all childcare settings are closed.
