So wake up feeling very tired and warm and sneezing continuously. Brushed it off as a cold. My mum phoned me this afternoon and is feeling generally unwell developed a cough last night and is coughing a lot now continuously. I have told her too get a test and she is now trying to book one. I have not been anywhere apart from food shopping and haven't seen anyone apart from my household and have worked from home but I did see my mum christmas day (Wales was Allowed). Curious as too what other people's first symptomswere before testing positive?

mine started with headaches and a sore throat then developed into a cough and extreme fatigue. i had no temperature and only lost my sense of smell and taste after i’d tested positive.

One colleague had typical cold symptoms stuffy head runny nose feeling blah
Tested positive

Headache dizziness and fatigue seem to feature quite a lot in the people I’ve spoken to

Oh yes another friend said that she got a test because her bacon sandwich tasted of chemicals! No other symptoms but was positive

I went for a test today as lost sence of smell and taste so following with interest.

Not been anywhere to catch it so I have got it from someone asymptomatic or it was a randomer who coughed in my face in the street a few days back.

I will be surprised if its positive

Weird headache that painkillers wouldn’t shift and a runny nose. Runny nose went about 24 hours later but my smell then went. They were my only symptoms.

I had a sore throat, body pain and mild temperature one day quite late night and took a paracetamol, I was totally fine next morning and cleaning house for holidays and wfh. 3 days later I lost my smell and taste while cooking and then decided to test. My only symptoms continues to be the loss of smell and taste. I could never say from the first symptoms it was virus as it felt like I was catching a cold.

Sinus like headache that like others have said wouldn't shift with painkillers.

Aches in my limbs, particularly legs.

A very mild sore throat and very mild runny nose.

Had my housemate not tested positive i wouldn't have thought twice about it; if not WFH would have been a cold I'd have worked through, very mild.

I lost my taste and smell on day 3 and developed a cough on about day 10 which lasted about 2-3 weeks although was never severe. Taste and smell were gone about 3 weeks.

Had a cold and very low level temperature of 37.7 which lasted no more than a day. After testing positive I had a very slight chesty cough. I would definitely get yourself tested.

A temperature, body aches and no appetite. Taste and smell went a few days later. Taste is improving thankfully, but my sense of smell is still very poor (7 weeks later!).
