Telegraph article is just a rehash of the Twitter story, no?

Is there anything else out there yet? Or just this article / interview?

I do know that an initial study implied that the variant was no more severe for children, only more transmissible.

I guess we would need to compare the % cases hospitalised in children.

I would love to have a summary of the article

I worked out stats elsewhere that < 18s seem to be about 1.9% of all recent admissions. I don't know what % of all covid admissions they were in April.

Does anyone know who this Twitter user is? As in, what is their profession? How do they have the data?

The article was removed from the Telegraph, it’s now on Yahoo, there’s a link on the hospitalisation thread

I've just looked at Laura Duffell's Twitter feed and there are lots of people questioning her statement, plus medics disputing it.
