Help me choose new face masks please

It looks likely that I am going to be wearing face masks for longer periods and the ones I have at the moment just aren’t that comfy, especially around the ears. Can anyone recommend any super soft and comfy ones please that have 3 layer protection minimum and are adjustable for a good fit round the ears? Preferably not too thick as people will need to be able to hear me talking from some distance with one on. Thanks

If the issue is comfort around the ears, have you tried ear savers?

SaltyAF · 01/01/2021 22:38

I can only manage the papery blue ones. There are loads on Amazon.

I have the ones from M&S, wear them through 8 hour retail shifts and they're the best & most comfortable i have found with my trial and error with masks so far.

Seasalt are great.

Thanks. I haven’t tried ear savers no, I’ll look them up. I just find the elastic stretches and then the fit gets rubbish and they start to rub. I’ve seen ones which seem to have softer material round the ears, there are so many to choose from though and it’s hard to tell what the elastic is like from a pic. I definitely want reusable ones.

M&S and sea salt both look worth a try- thanks!

My favourite ones are from Kitt and Kaboodle. They tie around the back of your head, so don't bother your ears. Not the cheapest, but my comfiest by far. You'd need a filter I think to make them truly 3 layers.

We have these, I bought some extra filters from Amazon although they do come with a filter to start you off. Very comfortable and with adjustable ear elastic.

Thanks. I’ve ordered a 3 pack from sea salt to try as they were on sale. Will look at the others if these no good.
Have also seen these: www.chooseally.com/pages/how-it-works
More expensive but perhaps more effective. If anyone has tried them please let me know.

GAP ones are great, they’re my favourite, though I’ve made a few myself too.

I second seasalt. Comfy round ears and good fit

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 02/01/2021 00:23

NEQI 3 layer fabric, really really comfortable. Top rated with which. Readily available. FAB

Absolutely crap with glasses! No nose wire.

EmmaWithTheGreatHair · 02/01/2021 08:27

The best ones have adjustable ear straps.

I bought one from this company a few months ago and it’s still going strong, plus £1 from every mask sold goes towards The Samaritans.
