No one is mentioning Sweden anymore, are they? So much for herd immunity. The graph says it all.

Tbf the other countries including ours are hardly doing much better are they

CovidHalloween · 01/01/2021 14:13

No, but one of the arguments was that they had no lockdown like ours and they were doing fine.

They should have a much lower rate per 100,000 than the uk given they have a much lower population density. They have a comparable population to Norway and the difference between the 2 counties is stark.

The Swedish government have admitted they made a mistake with their initial response. www.businessinsider.com/sweden-admits-coronavirus-strategy-underestimated-strenght-virus-lofven-stefan-2020-12?r=US&IR=T

No excuse for a country with a smallish population and a bigger land mass than the UK and most of it bordered by sea to have made such a pigs ear of Covid. Norway and their other neighbours have had no such problems.

When you're talking strategies for how to deal with Covid, there was the New Zealand side and the Sweden side. It's no longer even a debate who is better off.

Whilst we have dealt with this in a shocking way what they have done is terrible. They shouldn’t be in that situation at all.
