What does anyone think are the chances of this going ahead? It’s to a Caribbean island that has had very few cases and was still on the list of places you didn’t have to quarantine from on the way back from until the rules changed again a couple of days ago.
It was originally booked for end of March last year and I moved it to now. It was supposed to be a big holiday for my mum - she used to live on this island in her 20’s and has always wanted to go back. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s last year having being increasingly forgetful for a couple of years. It’s got worse pretty quickly though and I think if I were to delay it anymore it just wouldn’t be enjoyable for her.
I need to decide fairly quickly whether to cancel it altogether if I want to get a full refund. I don’t want to delay it further but also would really like to be able to take her if possible.
What does everyone think are the chances of this going ahead? She’s had her first dose of the vaccination so should have had the second by then unless they mess it all up again. I won’t have had my vaccine by then based on the current calculator. I’m just hoping that possibly, maybe it might have calmed down by then.
