Question about timings on NHS app

I have been pinged on the NHS app which says I need to isolate from today for 8 days, which I will of course do. Just trying to work out who I've been in contact with, as I have been in isolation for health reasons and the only person I saw was a plumber who came to unblock the sink on Tuesday 29th. Would it have been him, eg do the timings add up in terms of how the app works? Not sure how long it takes to register a positive test etc but I thought that was quite recent for it to have been him.

I'm also pretty annoyed as I had this exact issue in November also with a handyman! I've not seen another soul apart from these two people! And I made sure I was the other side of the room with a window open. Why do they always bring Covid with them!!

Isolation is now for 10 days. It starts the day after your contact with the positive person. Contact would be 27/28th.

I think.

The app isn't legal though. Only if you are contacted by track and trace.

Read the definition of close contact and decide if you were close enough to him to actually be a contact.

@MadeForThis I didn't know that, are you sure? Do you have a source?
