Should I get a test

I woke up early hours of boxing day feeling weird and then got up and was sick 3 times. Not been sick in 8 years.

Went back to bed and woke up with awful aching in my hips ankles everywhere, stayed in bed all day. Next day so weak and washed out from not eating a thing boxing day.

Since then I've felt a bit odd in my head and tired. This afternoon I've got a pounding head. I went into covid page and it asked me if I had cough (slight but I have reflux and asthma) no temp no loss of taste smell so it said I'm unlikely to have covid.

I have seen some people start covid with my symptoms. I did consider notorious but noone else in my house has caught it.

Should I have a test?

Newwoman2017 · 30/12/2020 23:16

Do you have the Covid Symptom Study app? covid.joinzoe.com
Try using that to see if it recommends a test.
If you are not in the UK then I think there is a version for the USA but not other places yet.

Yes test. 3 positives I know all started with pounding headache, for 2 of them that was only symptom

PapercraftNinja · 30/12/2020 23:30

Sounds exactly how my symptoms started

covetingthepreciousthings · 30/12/2020 23:31

Yes I would

I feel quite grotty and if it was a sick bug you normally recover pretty quickly. Plus I don't really get sick bugs

Yes sure, could be, but just to say also I had very similar last time I had a sick bug (well before Covid) - presumed norovirus but no one else in house got it despite having young children - the aching in my legs and back was unremitting and intense for at least a whole day if not more after the actual vomiting and I was fatigued for quite some time. Also headaches. I was sick more times though - prob 8-10 times.

Sounds like my covid symptoms!

My 3 year olds symptoms were vomiting and his body aching and he was positive.
