Or which website will they appear on?

OP posts:
RoseAndRose · 30/12/2020 16:57

Somewhere on gov.uk, but no one seems to know when/where yet

Bit shoddy - should have got it out at same time as announcement

mnahmnah · 30/12/2020 16:57

I don’t think they will be publically listed. Each school will notify the parents of what is happening I should imagine. I am a secondary teacher awaiting to hear from my head for what is happening, but he will be awaiting a DFE email himself!

Cactusowl · 30/12/2020 16:57

Maybe BoJo will show us on a slide

NiceGerbil · 30/12/2020 16:57

I imagine you'll get a message from the school or it'll go on their website tbh

covetingthepreciousthings · 30/12/2020 16:58

Makes you wonder if the schools even know themselves yet..

mnahmnah · 30/12/2020 17:01

@covetingthepreciousthings

Our head gets an email from the DFE after the public announcement each time! As teachers, we may hear from the head tomorrow. We know no more than the rest of the public!

whatwouldyoudo85 · 30/12/2020 17:03

Does anyone know what time?

GoldenRainbow · 30/12/2020 17:03

Makes you wonder if the schools even know themselves yet..

They don't.

WankPuffins · 30/12/2020 17:04

The schools know fuck all like the rest of us.

Pipersouth · 30/12/2020 17:05

Apparently the TES online has just crashed as all the teachers go there to see if anyone knows

2bedammed · 30/12/2020 17:06

No gav said it would be on the gov website.

2bedammed · 30/12/2020 17:07

Boris is saying it has been published on gov.com .. anyone found if? They suck!

Passmeabottlemrjones · 30/12/2020 17:07

The schools don't know anymore than the general public at this point. They never have!

nougatsquirrel · 30/12/2020 17:07

From the sun "Places where schools will stay closed is expected to include parts - but not all - of London, Kent, Hertfordshire and Essex and the plans will be reviewed in two weeks."

MillieEpple · 30/12/2020 17:07

The dfe emails this sort of info. The email can come as late as 11.59 and be considerd that day. It could even say your LA will be in touch.

toobusytothink · 30/12/2020 17:08

Where the f* is the list!!!!!!!!

fastwigglylines · 30/12/2020 17:08

It's a shambles (as per usual) that they announce it without telling us which areas. I would have hoped it was at least all Tier 4 areas but they said it was only the worst areas.

A total guess but I reckon it'll be those reported as being worst hit, yesterday, i.e.:

"Of the 315 local areas in England, 238 (76%) have seen a rise in case rates, 75 (24%) have seen a fall, and two are unchanged."

Brentwood, Tier 4, 1258.1, (969), 1134.8, (874)

Epping Forest, Tier 4, 1256.0, (1654), 1179.3, (1553)

Thurrock, Tier 4, 1181.6, (2060), 1295.2, (2258)

Havering, Tier 4, 1068.8, (2774), 1222.5, (3173)

Castle Point, Tier 4, 1047.8, (947), 1036.8, (937)

Broxbourne, Tier 4, 1037.2, (1009), 841.9, (819)

Redbridge, Tier 4, 1008.4, (3078), 1083.5, (3307)

Bexley, Tier 4, 987.2, (2451), 868.3, (2156)

Basildon, Tier 4, 954.6, (1787), 1121.8, (2100)

Harlow, Tier 4, 933.8, (813), 737.4, (642)

Barking and Dagenham, Tier 4, 932.3, (1985), 997.2, (2123)

Southend-on-Sea, Tier 4, 931.1, (1705), 943.1, (1727)

Rochford, Tier 4, 929.4, (812), 1061.0, (927)

Enfield, Tier 4, 929.3, (3102), 818.8, (2733)

Hastings, Tier 4, 917.3, (850), 958.3, (888)

Tower Hamlets, Tier 4, 892.4, (2898), 822.2, (2670)

Newham, Tier 4, 880.7, (3110), 798.3, (2819)

Hertsmere, Tier 4, 864.5, (907), 598.6, (628)

Dartford, Tier 4, 849.0, (956), 805.5, (907)

Medway, Tier 4, 847.6, (2361), 1078.1, (3003)

"The data includes (from left to right), the rate of new cases and the number (in brackets) of new cases recorded in the seven days to December 25 and the rate of new cases and the number (in brackets) of new cases in the seven days to December 18."

"The rate is expressed as the number of new cases per 100,000 people. Data for the most recent four days (December 26-29) has been excluded as it is incomplete and does not reflect the true number of cases."

GreatSoprendo · 30/12/2020 17:09

Gav said it would be published "later" on gov.uk
Helpfully vague as ever

snowballer · 30/12/2020 17:09

Where is sodding list! Why can they not get something so simple as this right?!

toobusytothink · 30/12/2020 17:09

Bucks just declared “major incident” so surely Bucks too??

Fortherosesjoni70 · 30/12/2020 17:10

So most schools in England going back?
What extra mitigations are in place for your going back?
Things have changed.
This new strain transmits more.
If none then you need to take collective action and kick the arse of your unions.

Boris just said it's on there now, but can't see it...
MiddlesexGirl · 30/12/2020 17:10

From BBC News app

"The list of areas (where only vulnerable children and children of key workers will return on 4 Jan) will be published later on the government's website"
