So are secondaries on holiday till 18th or doing online learning?

lovelemoncurd · 30/12/2020 16:32

I wish he would stop thanking everyone and just make sensible decisions!

meditrina · 30/12/2020 16:33

@the80sweregreat

All primaries back then? What about Essex where the hospitals are under so much pressure ? Thanks for nothing
Speech is unclear waffle.

I think he said that primaries back, but not in certain highest risk areas, list to be published shortly (not all of tier 4)

Secondaries staggered as before, again with longer delay to onsite learning in highest risk areas

Key worker and vulnerable pupils can go on-site as soon as their site is open.

Labour asked if he would publish the PH advice behind the policy, and he didn't answer

some will close, but the majority will be back with mass testing.

Mass testing is only for secondaries isn't it?

Butterymuffin · 30/12/2020 16:33

Williamson talking about schools being 'even safer than they have already been' is a bit rich

Staysexyanddontgetmurdered · 30/12/2020 16:33

Are preschool and nurseries allowed to open?

Candiscophonous · 30/12/2020 16:34

My god can we stop thanking

the80sweregreat · 30/12/2020 16:34

It's so muddled isn't it?

PandemicPavolova · 30/12/2020 16:35

So closing schools in the face of 981 deaths and over 50 infections is now a knee jerk?

I can't believe it, is no one going to say... What when dc need medical help?

2bedammed · 30/12/2020 16:35

Oh he is is really struggling,

Gav has to go.

When will I know if my children are going back to Primary school?

Candiscophonous · 30/12/2020 16:36

Resist knee jerk reactions lol.
Well yes don’t change the habits of a lifetime Gav.
You’ve been about a month late on all policy decisions already.

2bedammed · 30/12/2020 16:36

Does anyone know where on the education site the information re primary schools will be posted online?

TheSunIsStillShining · 30/12/2020 16:37

@2bedammed

Does anyone know where on the education site the information re primary schools will be posted online?
I'd look at midnight the night before opening time. So set your alarm 23.59 of the 3rd of Jan
52andblue · 30/12/2020 16:38

What a MESS. The Boy Gav is way out of his depth!

the80sweregreat · 30/12/2020 16:38

Our school is now waiting for updates.

Candiscophonous · 30/12/2020 16:39

the80sweregreat · 30/12/2020 16:39

Will he respond to the question of the new strain affecting more children?
Nah, he's too busy thanking people. Sad
Candiscophonous · 30/12/2020 16:41

@ the80sweregreat troubling isn’t it .
Why won’t he address this?!

itsgettingweird · 30/12/2020 16:41

Well all the education staff who he's just thrown under a bus - I'm sure - will be great full for his thanks when they are ill or isolating.

LdnMum94 · 30/12/2020 16:42

Where are people watching all of this?

I'm watching sky news live via YouTube and it's just Matt Hancock waffling on after brexit. I haven't heard anything about schools or nurseries?

Where can I watch boris?

itsgettingweird · 30/12/2020 16:42

@Candiscophonous

Will he respond to the question of the new strain affecting more children?
Of course not. Because then he'll have to admit his speech was all a load of bollocks.
