Whatever time it is, add on an extra 2 hours.

I really want to know this too! It’s been driving me mad waiting.
Apparently Hancock is going to tell us all about the new tiers today but I don’t know about school news.

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 30/12/2020 07:10

I think its meant to be 3pm

But probably be late

userxx · 30/12/2020 07:15

We get a day or so before changes kick in don't we?

CovidPostingName · 30/12/2020 08:28

@userxx Depends on how urgent or serious it is. We got 7hrs notice of tier 4...

userxx · 30/12/2020 08:44

So I need to get my click and collect today then. I think the NW will be staying in tier 3 anyway.

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 30/12/2020 08:45

I expect some of the NW will go to tier 4

SophieB100 · 30/12/2020 08:58

Press Briefing about the vaccine from Downing St 10.30 this morning according to Sky.
Matt Hancock updating this pm from 3.00 onwards (depends what time he finishes updating parliament.

Even in tier 4 you can still pick up click and collects from in store. It’s just like the Nov lockdown.

Many are open for C&C so I would check if the shop is doing it for current tier 4 areas
userxx · 30/12/2020 09:17

@DrunkenKoala Oh really, great news. I thought everything non essential was completely shut.

userxx · 30/12/2020 09:19

Which areas do you reckon ?
Orf1abc · 30/12/2020 09:22

Matt Hancock will be soaking in the Commons ar 2:30pm

Quite an apt typo, I read it as

Matt Hancock will be soaking in the Commons bar 2:30pm

Heyahun · 30/12/2020 09:50

Is this all anyone has to be thinking about? It’s all I see every day on here - what time is the announcement? What do you think the next announcement will say? So you think they will close schools? 😂 such an unhealthy obsession tbh ! Maybe go for a walk and step away from the tv for a bit - you might feel better for it

PurpleDaisies · 30/12/2020 09:51

That’s the best typo I’ve seen since “how do I jizz up my bolognese”.

Kumquatsquash · 30/12/2020 09:53

@Heyahun Maybe because it massively impacts people's lives? Like whether their workplace will be closed down or schools closed last minute so we all scrabble around for childcare.

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 30/12/2020 10:15

userxx Greater manchester, havent looked much at others

userxx · 30/12/2020 10:19

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE

userxx Greater manchester, havent looked much at others

I was hoping you wouldn't say that! Looking online it looks like my area has gone to the top of the list, despite being the lowest a couple of weeks ago.

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 30/12/2020 10:23

We are not far from GM and i work within GM so tend to keep my eye on it, most areas within are rising some at speed

MaryShelley1818 · 30/12/2020 11:07

Tiers announcement at 3pm and schools return announcement at 4pm.

PurpleDaisies · 30/12/2020 11:10

From 22days after first dose to dose 2 te efficacy is approximately 70% but very cautious about the data. More data to be put in public domain later.

PurpleDaisies · 30/12/2020 11:11

Sorry, wrong thread!

IntermittentParps · 30/12/2020 11:24

I thought everything non essential was completely shut.
In tier 4 you can do click and collect and cafes etc can open for takeaway.
I wonder if they're going to announce tier 5 in London (where I am). I kind of think we need it, but on the other hand I worry for all our local small businesses, who must only be just scraping by already with being restricted to takeaway.
