I read that the scientists arent sure if vaccinated people can still spread the virus and obviously children aren't to be vaccinated so what do we think will happen to the shielded children?
My son is 6 and is now home educated. He was hospitalised in 2018 with flu so god knows what covid would do.
If kids can't be vaccinated, at what point will it be safe for him to mix with people again?
Sorry if this has already been discussed, I did search but nothing came up.

So sorry you’re in this quandary @ofwarren

I don’t know is my short answer.

My second slightly longer answer is, once adults are vaccinated, my understanding is that this will reduce the frequency of transmission as well as there won’t be as many people with Covid. Could you wait until then and see families who have had he vaccine AND a recent test.

Thirdly it must be a trying time for you and your family. Could you wait and continue as you are until something is discussed for children.

Sorry if my responses are not that useful I recall you from a preppers thread and it must be so tough.

@OrchidFlower
I think all we can do is wait. Some teenagers with his condition (16-18) have been told that they are probably going to be vaccinated but they have no idea what's going to happen with the younger ones.
I was so excited that a vaccine was created but it was such a downer to hear that it isn't for children.
