Is there going to be an announcement tomorrow? I am absolutely dreading another lockdown (currently Tier 3)

I just wish they would get on with it and tell us what's what. It's clear the numbers of both infections and hospitalisations are rising at a ridiculous rate now, so something is going to have to happen.

I was just checking myself, I'm fairly confident of today's date but a lot less confident of the government's plans!

I predict delayed start for secondaries. They cant so it by tier because of exams. Also tier 5 for many as it has been leaked and they always do that.

Latest noises seem to be an extra week's holiday, then a week online, then...?? I guess counting deaths by mid-Jan

What a sad mess.

Its dreadful state of affairs but something needs to be done. I am sure half of the ones that complain about home learning and any greater restrictions will be the same ones ignoring or deliberately misinterpreting the guidance.

Personally, I would rather just have a very strict lock down now and just limp along through January. No doubt tomorrow’s announcement will be linked before today is out if previous announcements are anything to go by.
